About Southside Star Youth FC
Southside Star Youth FC is a grassroots youth football club based in Cheltenham, offering football opportunities for children and young people from Cubs through to U18s.
We are a community club built on volunteers, families, friendships and a shared love of football. Our teams train and play across a range of age groups, giving children the chance to learn the game, develop their skills and enjoy being part of a team.
We are proud to support both mixed and girls’ football, helping players of all abilities feel welcome, valued and encouraged.
More Than Just Football
At Southside, we believe youth football should be about more than winning matches.
Of course, we want our players to try their best and enjoy competing, but we also want them to build confidence, learn respect, develop resilience and create memories that stay with them long after the final whistle.
For us, success is seeing children arrive with a smile, leave with muddy boots and grow in confidence week by week.
Our Approach

A Club for the Whole Family
Grassroots football is not just about the players on the pitch. It is also about the families on the sidelines, the coaches planning sessions after work, the volunteers organising fixtures and events and the parents helping with lifts, kit, fundraising and support.
